Tenjou Studio is an architecture studio based in the Azores, focused on creating simple, sustainable spaces that exist in harmony with their natural surroundings. The website was designed to translate this philosophy into a calm, visual digital experience where architecture, landscape, and materiality take the lead.

Project Overview
Tenjou Studio needed a digital presence that could work both as an introduction to the practice and as a curated portfolio of its architectural work.
Rather than creating a conventional corporate architecture website, the goal was to build an experience that feels closer to an editorial publication — minimal, atmospheric, and strongly driven by photography.
The interface combines generous whitespace, restrained typography, asymmetric compositions, and large-scale imagery to create a visual language that reflects the studio’s focus on simplicity, natural materials, and thoughtful architecture.
Challenge
The main challenge was finding the right balance between visual expression and usability.
Architectural photography needed to remain the central element of the experience, while information about the studio, its founder, projects, and services still had to be easy to discover.
Another challenge was creating a distinctive identity without relying on excessive decorative elements. The website needed to feel memorable through composition, typography, movement, and imagery rather than conventional UI patterns or heavy branding.

Results
The final design transforms Tenjou Studio’s architectural portfolio into a focused digital experience built around imagery, space, and storytelling.
A restrained interface allows projects to remain visually dominant, while editorial compositions give the studio a more recognisable digital identity. Clear navigation and carefully structured content make the experience functional without compromising its minimal character.
The website ultimately works not only as a portfolio, but as an extension of Tenjou Studio’s architectural philosophy.
